The Notre Dame Fighting Irish traveled to Athens for a matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs this past Tuesday, in hopes of ending a four-game losing streak. However, the Irish fell 48-69.

Braeden Shrewsberry and Tae Davis led the Irish in scoring with 14 each. Shrewsberry shot 6-16 from the field and 2-7 from three. Davis shot 5-13 from the field and 0-2 from three.
The Irish took a quick 6-0 lead at the 15:25 mark in the first half. Shrewsberry made a jumper to start the game followed by a Davis jumper and a Kebba Njie dunk.
At the 11:02 mark, The Irish gave up the lead and trailed 9-13 after missing several layups and not being able to grab a rebound.
Heading into the half, Notre Dame was down 22-34. The Irish were getting dominated on the boards, and Georgia was out playing them in almost every stat category. Notre Dame was missing easy layups and the Bulldogs were capitalizing on Notre Dame’s mistakes.
The Irish came out of the half slow, trailing 24-41 at the 18:30 mark. The Bulldogs had made a layup, three, and a jumper all in consecutive offensive possessions.
Notre Dame went on a 10-0 run to make it a seven point game, 34-41, at the 14:58 mark. The run was led by a Shrewsberry jumper, then back to back threes by Shrewsberry and Matt Allocco, finished by a Nikita Konstantynovskyi layup.
The Irish and Bulldogs continued to trade baskets and the Irish trailed 39-46 at the 11:32 mark.
The Bulldogs proceeded to go on a 6-0 run, leaving the Irish trailing 41-53 at the 6:58 mark. The Irish and Bulldogs then trade baskets up until the 3:18 mark when the Irish trailed 47-57.
Georgia would pull away after going on a 10-0 run to end the game.
Notre Dame was out of it for most of the game in a tough loss to Georgia, 48-69. Davis and Shrewsberry both had double figures for the Irish in the loss. Notre Dame got outplayed in almost every facet of the gam. The Irish were dominated in the rebound department and struggled to shoot well, as they finished 36.5% from the field, and 21.1% from three. Notre Dame will look to bounce back as they take on Syracuse on Saturday at 12:00 PM EST in their first ACC game on The CW Network.
