The Fighting Irish are entering year two under Head Coach Shawn Stiffler coming off of an incredible Cinderella run in year one. The Irish baseball team made it to round two of the College World Series, but fell short against Texas A&M who would go on to lose to the runner up of the National Champion, Oklahoma. There's a lot to look forward to this upcoming season including an impressive recruiting class with a very tough schedule that allows the Irish to truly prove themselves.

Coach Stiffler and crew managed to bring in and sign the 27th ranked recruiting class, and the top ranked class in all of the Midwestern region. This 2024 class is the second highest rated class in program history, only trailing 2021's class. Safe to say expect some fireworks this season and potentially another deep run in the postseason.

Notre Dame's 2024 schedule brings must see matchups against five teams that made the 2023 NCAA Tournament as well the top four teams from the 2023 ACC Tournament. Clemson, the ACC Champion, Miami, runner-up, as well as the other two incredibly talented schools, North Carolina and Wake Forest. Frank Eck Stadium is set to host 12 home series for the Irish. Notre Dame opens up their season February 16th at Rice and will not have a home game until March 5th when rival Purdue comes to The Eck first. Out of conference home opponents include Western Michigan, Bowling Green, Michigan State, Butler, Valparaiso, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Toledo. The Irish will also travel to out of conference games such as Rice, Florida International, Tennessee Tech, Radford, Michigan State, and Butler. Dates and locations for the 2024 ACC Tournament are yet to be announced. However, the road to Omaha begins May 31st when the 2024 NCAA Regionals begin, followed by Super Regionals beginning on June 7th, and finally the College World Series will kick off June 14th.
